Nuts & Bolts is a series of posts where we take a closer look at a specific case element – analysing the ins and outs, the process and the outcome.
Now let’s cut to the chase, no promotional jibber jabber, just useful content. 3D animations are a great way of displaying the inner workings of intricate technical machinery, detailed product mechanics or even the layers on a pair of sneakers. Possibilities are not endless, they never are, but this comes pretty close when you’re talking visual product presentations.
We recently developed a series of 3D product animations for Nilpeter, simplifying how they present the many different technologies, processes and features that go into a printing press.
Being able to zoom in, remove various bits and pieces in order to focus on other (equally important) bits and pieces made it a lot easier to see what was going on. And that’s the real beauty of it – 3D allows you to go beyond what meets the eye, get down into the nitty gritty without getting your hands dirty. You’ve probably heard that 3D printing is the (not so distant) future. Well, 3D animations are already here, and they’re a simple, straightforward way of displaying just about anything. Give us a call if you want to talk about your not so distant future.
